LGV Training and Starter pack
There are four easy steps to gaining your LGV Driving licence
- LGV Medical
- Apply for Cat C provisional
- Study for and take Theory tests
- Then the 5 day practical driving course

Contact us requesting a free information pack which contains the D4 Medical Examination form (which is no longer available for download from the DVLA website), alternatively these can be found in most Post Office branches.
The Medical Examination does not have to be performed by your own Doctor, the cost of the medical can vary between £40 and £140. We can recommend a couple Surgery’s that will do it for a set price of £45 if required

- Book Theory Test exam appointments, 0300 2001122 or to book test on-line.
Now that you have passed all your theory tests, you can start your 5 day intensive driving course with an extremely experienced and qualified SRTS instructor. Come the end of the week you should have passed your Category C Practical driving test and now be a qualified professional driver (unless you passed you car test after Jan 1997, in which case you will need to complete module 4 prior to starting work). It can take 5 to 10 working days for your new licence to arrive from the DVLA, at which point you can either get working or start your training for the Category C+E Articulated lorry.

A £20 voucher:
Valid for LGV driving assessment. Assessment and controls lesson, approximately 45 minutes. The LGV instructor will then discuss the drive and recommend a suitable course. Driving assessment voucher can ONLY be used for a trial lesson / assessment with Steve Robertson Training Services.
DVLA Vocational Licence Application Pack:
All the forms needed to apply for medical and LGV provisional licence, these cannot be obtained from a Post Office.
