LGV HGV PCV PSV Lorry Driver Training (Steve Robertson DTp. A.D.I.) 01392 46 2000 "Customer

Over 12 months ago, I started to consider taking my Lorry Licences. Class 2 and Class 1 training. I looked at other company’s in the Devon and Cornwall area they all OK but, when I said I have a short arm and only one hand (e.g. left not fully developed). they said I may be able to do my class 2 in a eight speed knock through gearbox but not my class 1 lorry in a manual gear box then they said I would have to do it in a automatic lorry. But then I found Steve Robertson so I called him and explained my disability he said “I will organise for you a trial lesson in the lorry with Brian Piper, I passed the test first time. Then I contacted Steve again, He got one of his instructors to take me out in the class 1. I found it OK I said to the instructor I may need two week's he said no I think you can do it in a week. I booked my training course and several weeks later I started the training course and the test with SRTS. My instructor for the week was Dave Robbins he was quite surprised when I turned up. But after driving for a few hours, he said "you’ll be ready for your test on Friday", he was right !......... I passed first time ! I also did my HIAB course and my drivers CPC module 4 all passed first time I believe that everyone at SRTS really do care and get you to test standard and above. They teach you how to be safe on the road in the “real world”. If you are thinking about doing your lorry training please contact SRTS Limited I believe you will agree with me that they are a brilliant training provider. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Many thanks for all your help. Peter Sedgman June 2010
The last time I looked at the SRTS web-site was when I was choosing a training company in December 2009. Now, in June 2010, I have my HGV Class 1/C+E and I know that SRTS was the best choice. I researched the market in some depth, and considered that SRTS offered the “Real McCoy”. Although using SRTS involved a round trip of 300 miles from home, it was well worth the effort. My instructor through Class C and C+E was Dave Robbins. Dave is not only a very experienced in both driving HGVs and the road transport industry, but also he is a very effective trainer. Dave has a great knack for helping you learn and getting you up to the DSA’s high standards but, more than this, he also educates you for the “Real World” out on the road after you have passed the DSA test. Because of their approach and wide transport experience, I think that Steve, Dave and the other instructors who make up the SRTS team offer the best possible value-for-money in HGV and related skills training. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Many thanks for all your help.
Best Wishes, Stuart James (May 2010)
Here's yet another email praising Trevor - the man is, quite simply, a diamond. He is a calm, professional, friendly and just generally excellent instructor who got me through my Cat D Coach test. He had faith in me even when I was doubting myself, and I will miss him - driving without his calm instructions just won't quite be the same!
Thanks to you, too, for being consistently friendly, professional and accommodating right from the first day I came to chat to you. I've felt welcomed and supported throughout the whole process, and am absolutely made up that I've finally fulfilled my dream of getting my coach licence!
I would thoroughly recommend your school to anyone - I saved up to do this and it was definitely money well spent.
Thanks again to you both, Jude

From my first initial enquiry to receiving my licence I found him and all of
his colleagues knowledgeable and professional. Even after passing my test I
often see Steve, and he always makes time for a chat, and shows real pride in
helping people to achieve their goals.
The benefits of using Steve are still with me each day I am behind the wheel,
I can still hear his voice in my head, which keeps my driving sharp and
professional. Before I started with Steve I thought I was a good
driver, however after taking my C and CE training through his driving school I
know that there was a lot to be learned before you can call yourself a good
driver with any authority.
I am happy to recommend Steve and his colleagues to anyone considering taking
up professional driving, as using the training I gained from him, only two
years ago, I am now in the position of 'driving
assessor' for TNT Newsfast in Exeter and enjoying it. In short,
deciding to change career to become a professional driver was the best
decision I could of made, the next best was to choose Steve to train me...........

Thank you both also for setting me up with a job for Evans transport, I will try not to let you down and will be an ambassador for your training school I am looking forward to training with Trevor again on my Class 1 and am sure that it will be as good as last week. Look forward to seeing you both then. Kevin Hould 10th. April 2006
I just wanted to take a moment to write to you to express my thanks for the advice and support you and your team have given to me throughout my experience of learning and under going the LGV class 2 course and test. I must take the opportunity to mention Trevor, a true professional . He gave me the confidence that I needed to pass first time. He taught me everything I needed to know during the week and he had the greatest confidence in me. He is a very skilled and professional trainer who communicates effectively, in a style that is positive, open and honest. He inspires confidence, demonstrates integrity and provides you with an opportunity to learn every time you came into contact with him, a true asset to your team.It was a pleasure to find such a professionally run organisation, from the first contact to the test centre I was made to feel welcome and not just another pay cheque like many companies do. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone wishing to sit a LGV course. I will see you sometime for my C+E licence – (please can I book Trevor in advance) Regards and thanks again Nige Thornber (MCMI, Dip. NEBOSH )Nige Thornber 11th. February 2006
